"Remember it is art for life... What happens when you get tired of it... You can re-arrange your living room when you are bored w/the design. You can buy a new beadspread when you are tired of seeing the old one, but what are you going to do when you get tired of that same old tattoo? Add to it? make it bigger? How will you hide it when you want to be professional? and if you are a woman, will you be able to look sexy in evening wear with a tattoo visible? I'd say if you want one (if ur a woman) put it under your bathing suit area. But that's just me. The sister of an incredible tattoo artist :)"
How bad does getting a tattoo?
"Boyfriends & Girlfriends... even spouses come and go in life... are you sure you want to put a name on your body. What will you do & how will you feel if they are not in your life forever? You'll look at that tattoo & feel misrable... THEN you'll run to the laser clinic & pay to have it removed. Maybe you should think about getting something that represents him (his zodiac sign, favorite animal, etc) but names... OUCH... that might not be the wisest decision. Have you thought about getting a special piece of jewelry made instead? Something to serve the same purpose? and about the pain... EXPECT IT TO HURT !!!! Good luck w/your decision. OH... is your boyfriend getting your name put on him? Hmmmm food for thought if not."
