...Considering that Parul Luthra DPT doesn't have a smidgeon of professionalism in her practice for those who aren't favorites of the "BLUE JAY" .....if you know what I mean. She will not treat you with dignity nor respect if you aren't a BLUE JAY FAN. So one needs to protect themselves while around her practice and especially if you are her client/patient. Best not to seek her advice nor treatment since what she lacks in professionalism/patient ethics she makes up for in her aggressive abuse of non-favored clients... ...read more

This is a nice facility with a seemingly nice staff at first glance. My wife suffers from several mental illnesses. One of which is Agoraphobia. This makes it difficult to keep an in office appointment on occasion. One suggestion would be having phone appointments or accommodating postponement of a session until she is able to leave the house. This did not happen. Instead we received a letter advising that my wife needs to seek an alternate mental health provider. If you or a family member suffers from mental illness than you are aware of the difficulties in finding a doctor who you trust and can feel open enough to receive help. I can sympathize with the office regarding scheduling conflicts but I would hope for a more understanding posture being a provider of mental health services. I would strongly suggest finding an alternate location so you can avoid the rejection/dear john letter from what is supposed to be a place of understanding and compassion. The letter received disgusts me on such a deep level that I only wish to save others from this facilities actions. ...read more

I too went to Sue for marital counseling and was shown the door as well after she told me I was to blame for all of the problems in my marriage. This was after she had seen him twice! The cane lady is what I remember her as. Never once did she look at me, made reference to many things I said to things in her life with her young son....ALLOT. At the end of one session I was at the counter making my next appointment, she came looking for her next client, looked directly at me and asked me if I was so and so! I could not believe what I was hearing! Told her she just spoke with me in her office for 15 minutes! I changed my appointment to a different counselor right then and there! Spoke to Dr. Severea and he actually looked at me while I talked, he listened to me, asked why I was on these 3 MEDS? I could not tell him. He spent more than 15 mins with me and I am now down to I med and use a sun lamp. Never will I recommend her but I will Dr. Severa! ...read more

It's a shame that a couple negative opinions (compared to an overwhelming number of 5-star ratings!) can result in such a negative opinion at 'the top of the list', even if a significantly minority view! Hopefully, anyone looking for counseling will realize that those who are willing to: 1) listen, 2) be realistic with themselves, and 3) change, Sue is one of the best things that could ever happen to you! ...read more

I completely Disagree with the unprofessional remark by the other reviewer. Christine Bacarri was very willing to go over my situation and really went the extra mile to help me out. She always promptly returned my phone calls and even would leave a reminder call before coming in. The evaluation was very informal and she was really just trying to assess me as an individual. I would disregard the prior comment and I would recommend her to anyone having to get an evaluation done for whatever reason. Very professional, very willing to help, and generally a good person. ...read more

Terrible place of business. The therapists here are great, but there is a lack of qualified supervisors and the colors are very uncomfortable for a therapy environment. I felt awkward and uncomfortable when I was there, and some people are unfriendly, and will pass by and scowl. Just not a happy, good place for therapy. ...read more

Sue's instincts are right on. If you don't want to hear the truth do not go see her! If you listen and talk honestly about whatever your situation is, she will be a lifesaver for you. She helped me to realize that I am a good person and to not let anyone walk all over me anymore. My life is 100% better after only 4 sessions with her. Only wish I would have seen her earlier in life as I wasted a lot of years being a passive doormat. ...read more

Wife was contracted to work and do counseling and evaluations. She didn't receive a paycheck for 3 months when most billing comes in 3-4 weeks at the latest. Owner loaned her money until 3rd party payer monies came in. He collected his money from her and has not sent her money since. He had excuses the money didn't come in, or invalid authorizations all which we had physical proof those were lies. Still owes $1300 in wages we will never see. Don't work for him and I especially would not refer clients to their due to the ethical concerns of how he runs business and his motives fro working in this line of work. ...read more

Creating Change

Ironically, the one constant in life is change. The question is, how gracefully can we open to the changes that will naturally occur within our self and our lives? How can we mindfully move towards well-being of body, mind and spirit embracing change as a creative, playful and positive force for growth and personal development? The key to any significant change is understanding the relationship between intention and action. Intentions anchor us in the present moment and any real shifts in our attitudes or habits occur over time and through an accumulation of consistent patterns of thinking, being, and acting. While we set goals for ourselves, goals are future focused. We may know where it is we want to go – healthier lifestyle habits, , stress reduction, mental clarity, or enhanced creative expression – but first we must assess our current conditions with compassion and detachment. We must understand the habits or attitudes that trip us up so that we make changes that will support us in realizing our goals. Drawing upon the teachings and practices of yoga, we find a variety of accessible tools to help us assess current conditions of body and mind so that we can more skillfully harness our intentions to bring about balance and well-being. In the “Creating Change” course, we will explore a wide array of useful tools including mind-mapping, guided visualizations, mindfulness practices, relaxation, breath awareness, playful and creative movement to create an individualized program for self-care. Working within supportive community, we utilize the encouragement and collective resources of the group to create lasting change. Start living your life to the fullest. Register for Creating Change and begin your journey. ...read more
