I took my desk top computer in because my OS wasn't loading. I explained to them when I dropped it off that I needed to have the OS re-installed and the files backed up. I was told when I dropped it off that it would only take 1 - 1 1/2 hours for the repair. I presented them with a gift certificate that I had for 1 hour of free labor. To my surprise, when I called in to check on the repair, it was all of a sudden going to be a minimum of 2 1/2 hours of labor to complete the work because of additional diagnostics and trouble shooting they did to determine that the OS needed to be reinstalled. Amazing at how an extra hour of work was needed to determine what needed to be done, especially after I had asked to have that done from the get go. ...read more

Fast and competent service. I could not be happier to have a Boost store in Northeast Omaha. The owners even actually work in the store. BTW I purchased the Samsung Prevail and they spent nearly an hour showing me how to use the Android Market setting up my email accounts and more. ...read more
Common ?'s #2: Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or Apple Homepod? There are a few other smart speakers also out there but these 3 have the most power and network out there currently. Apple is still building its database of products it works with and typically will come out very strong. My only reservation with Apple is that they are (and this is both good and bad) very strict with their security. This could cause issues with other products creating an interface that will meet Apple's needs. On the other side, Apple has a strong following both from it's Mac side of business and especially from their iPhone side of business. Google Home has a powerful database backed by it. Plus for a lot pf people, it has their personal email, calendar, contacts, translate, and maps apps. This allows a lot of room to make it very personal. Amazon Alexa hit the gates running a few years back. They have the lead right now and are growing strong. Alexa has many other products that integrate with each other like Amazon Show & Spot. Amazon also has a large network of partners working with them. As of now, I am finding more Amazon Alexa devices in homes than any other smart speaker. Google Home is second. I have both and am finding Amazon easier to use and interface with other products. And it is fun seeing and hearing a customer play music simply by saying "Alexa, play Soft Rock in the Kitchen".
