The mellow atmosphere hits you instantly when you walk in the door. Making your way past friends and couples chatting, you order a Mocha with soy milk when you realize that during the two minutes it takes for him to make a drink, you'll have found out a lot about each other through one conversation. Meadowlark is the perfect coffee shop, not only because of the extremely soothing atmosphere and couches you can sink into, but also because there is so much variety. There's acoustic music on the weekends and poetry readings & comedy acts on weekdays. There's a large bookshelf in the corner containing classic games such as Apples to Apples as well as playing cards. Anything fun and entertaining, they'll be the first to be open to the idea. Because the employees are young and full of zest, there is a fresh feel to Meadowlark and though the audience ranges from the pubescent to the elderly, whoever walks into this coffee shop feels at home. ...read more
