Winter Fixes with a discount?

To all our farming friends, in and around the Kearney, Nebraska area; during the winter months, we know you aren't in a rush to get your trucks up and running. Not like the summer and early fall months. Then you have to have them running, no ifs, ands, or buts. Why not think ahead this year, and make sure they are ready ahead of time. If you know you have a truck that broke down last season. Get r' ready now! Then there won't be any hassles from lost time because a truck is down next season. Why wait until it will cost you more? That doesn't really make sense, does it? We keep the working mans’ trucks working all year long, here at Kearney Truck Parts and Sales. We supply you with the parts your trucks need. Some are New, Rebuilt or Used parts. If we don't have what you need, we'll search nationwide for you, that including engines. We Rebuild and Recondition Transmissions and Differentials. Dave will change ratios for you, etc. Dave really knows his stuff when it comes to those. And you know we give the best warranty around, a full two years! Now, the title mentioned a discount. If you let us know you saw this blog post, online anytime January through February, we will give you a 10% discount on your total invoice (before taxes). By the way, we also look for trucks for customers too. However there is no discount on the price of trucks, because each one is negotiated separately. ...read more

Working Trucks and Old Fashioned Values

We here at Kearney Truck Parts believe in Old Fashioned Values. Things like honesty, hard work, being thorough, treating our customers well, and asking a fair price. Like the farmers and truckers that make up the majority of our customers. Sure you can look around and compair prices. Everybody wants a good deal. But I gatta' tell ya' I've heard customers more than once tell me that we're the best price around. Some other places tell them they can't even get the parts they need. That's just crazy. Seems, some of them just don't to want the business sometimes. If we don't have it, we'll search till we find it. If it truely isn't available anywhere, we'll find out, but I doubt it. I'd bet there's an aftermarket part out there somewhere for whatever it is you need. There is almost always a way. But I have to be honest, once in a while, there's one we can't figure out or find. It does happen. We'll be up-front with you about it, if that happens. There was a customer not long ago said we were the cheepest repair shop around. He said he had called around and talked to a lot of guys. Some had even told him to junk his truck. The parts he needed weren't available, it wasn't fixable. Others had told him they could get the parts, but since they were no longer in production they were very expensive. He brought it to us, we found the parts he needed, and fixed his truck at a reasonable price. He appreciated the fact that we didn't try to scare him to jack up the price, or blow him off. Although I'm not sure why anyone would want to do either of those. Seems to me, that would be bad for business. Dave's a real hard working mechanic. When he's rebuilding a differential or transmission he doesn't cut corners. I've watched him work. He sees a gear that's worn, it gets replaced. Other mecanics might go ahead and use it, but not Dave. It doesn't have to be chipped or broken to need to be replaced. If it's worn, he knows it's probably going to cause problems in the near future if it's left in there. So, it get replaced. It's as simple as that. No reason to make the customer have to come back next year for something he can take care of now. There will be other things that come up, with working trucks there always is. ...read more
