The poster may have confused Mark Nelson with his wife Jo, who testified in 2008 that she is a landman with Diamond Resources. In her lawsuit against me (MT 15th Judicial District, Cause #DV-07-40--a dispute over mineral rights)--Jo admitted that two weeks after my mother's 7-month-long death from cancer, she and her husband began talking with my dad about buying his farm. She testififed they paid my 85-year-old Dad $13,200 for a farm that she admitted was worth approx. $90,000. We won the lawsuit. Jo and her husband were good renters of my dad's land. But I'll leave it to others to decide if dealing with an 85-year-old 10 days after his wife was buried is okay. And if paying him a ridiculous price (don't know whose price it was) is okay. Jo may be an honest landman--guess I shouldn't make a judgement on DIamond Resources or Jo because of one unrelated deal. I at least want to caution everyone to GET INOVOLVED with your aging parent's land deals or mineral deals! ...read more

I am the VP of Diamond Resources. I have looked in to this matter and could find no truth to it. Mark Nelsen does not buy minerals or leases for Diamond. I can only assume this must have been a different person working for some other company. ...read more
