I expressed interest in a 2006 Corolla and arranged a time to drive to the dealer to test drive it. Since I driving more than 75 miles each way from Chapel Hill and had taken the day off work, I called again the morning I was planning to drive to the dealership and confirmed that it was still available and would be ready for me to drive. Yes, we'll be expecting you and have the car ready for you to drive I was told. Upon reaching the dealer, I was then told by another sales person that the car in question had sold two days prior. My check engine light came on so I drove over to the Winston Salem Bob/David Neil Mercedes. Gene, one of the service managers, told me it would take an hour and a half and he would charge me $104... just to tell me which error code was causing the check engine light to come on.... Code readers are very easy to use (just plug them in - takes at max 4 minutes) and very cheap (check amazon OBD 2 diagnostic tool). I can buy a reader for less than what they would have charged me. If you don't want to just hand over your money to MB-WS, head over to Advance Auto Parts - they will hook their machine up and give you the error code for free. Also, before my current Mercedes I had a BMW - the BMW dealership would immediately hook up the diagnostic tool and tell you what was wrong with it; no appointment, not waiting (again, it takes no time at all, maybe 4 minutes at the most), and no charge. If you ask me, that's customer service; rather than trying to rip the customer off, they try to build a relationship with you. MB-WS, thank you for trying to nickle and dime me on this. At least I learned of your business practices before I sent my car there for any major work. If Bob were still running the place I highly doubt he would charge anything before doing any actual work... ...read more

i went through there lot yesterday and i was shocked at the prices were way over value for the year models they were no way would i buy something from them when i know and do my research on vehicles and there values ...... stay away from them they are a rip off ...read more
