Summer is here!
Even though Summer Solstice is still a couple of weeks away, for those of us with children, our summer starts with the last day of school. If you are fortunate enough to have your child in a year-round school, then your summer starts when the days are warm enough to head to the beach. For me, my summer started the weekend before Memorial Day, and with the water slightly warming, it felt closer to summer on Memorial Day weekend. Tomorrow though, it will truly be in full swing. Schools out... Yeah!?Like most non-working moms, I look forward to having my boys spend the days with me and the stuff we can do. Also like most parents, in a few short days, I will be counting down the days until school starts again. It will be the constant whining that they are bored and have nothing to do, the fighting over toys and the television remote, and just the extra noise that will be in the house. With two seven year olds, and an eight month old (all boys I might add) you can imagine how many pairs of ear plugs I will have longed for by the end of summer. Never-the-less, I will enjoy most days with my sons, and doing all that we can.Summer is also going to be a great time for those of you who like Avon, and for those of you who have never tried it, well, they are making it affordable for you to do so. Just an Update
Avon currently has Glazewear on sale for $1.99! I picked out my two favorite colors today, Rave&Dazzling; Diamonds. I absolutely love the way they feel on my lips. With the way it shimmers, you can't help but to be noticed. Even my two seven year olds noticed it right away. Better still, Avon wants to give you a chance to win a 2010 Chevy Malibu with every Glazewear purchase.Of course Avon has other great offers that you may not want to miss out on. I stocked up early on the Skin So Soft Bug Guard and have been impressed on how well it works. The black gnats, no see ums and deer flies are a little upset about not getting their evening meals. I especially love how you only apply a little and it works for a long time. The towelettes are excellent for wiping down my infant son with no worries about accidentally getting spray in his eyes.Now that the days are getting warmer, my boys are going to want to play outside in the water sprinklers. If figured I could add a little extra to the fun my purchasing them some of Avon's Kids Bath Time Body Paints. They will be able to paint themselves into whatever imaginary creature pops into their minds, while at the same time getting clean at least in the places the colored soap is. Hey, I do have boys, so I will try anything that can get them clean without having to send them back into the shower again in the evening to "try again".
