Tarheel Realty II

5.0

By RE/MAX Executive Realty - Sandy Aichner

I have had the pleasure of working with a few of the Realtors from Tarheel Realty II in Statesville, NC and have found the agents and company to be outstanding in their service. One of my very good friends recently went to work with the company and has been very pleased with the ease of transition from her previous job and the customer service they offer. I would highly recommend this company for anyone buying or selling homes in the Iredell and Catawba county areas. I highly recommend Sherry Mills. ...read more

KEEP ON TRUCKIN (SELLIN)

It seems like everytime we turn on the news we  hear  about  how  bad the housing  market is  and how bad it is going to become even still.  This is very discouraging news for any home owner.  There are plenty of homes out there on the market, BUT there are plenty of buyers out there too.  We just have to be patient and wait them out.  It is taking 2x to 3xs longer to sell a house now than it was two years ago.  That is ok, don't give up.  If you are selling because you want to,notbecause you have to, then wait it out.  Think of the benefits of having your home on the market.  1)  You are in direct competition with your neighbor getting customers/clients coming through to look at it, and who knows, they may come back later and choose your home.  I have seen people take as long as 3+ months to decide on buying a home in this market, just to come back and buy a house they looked at several times.  2)  You are increasing your exposure in the advertising.  Sure people may see your house over and over in paper ads or on the market, so take advantage of that and have your Realtor change the pics of your home, especially the primary picture, plus change up the description.  This will bring new customers and those who have seen it before will have a new outlook on your home.  3)  Since you will have people traipsing through your home take this opportunity to redecorate inexpensively, i.e., new paint, move furniture around to make a room look bigger, de-clutter, brighter lights, and redecorate on a periodic basis -except for re-painting- so that when your Realtor takes new pics it will look like a new house.   There are many tips you can find for helping your Realtor market your house by looking online.   Take advantage of these, but mainly don't listen to the media.  Be encouraged and know that your house will sell in good time.  One more thing, if your house is empty, please consider having it staged.  This truly does help get a home sold.  Most people have trouble visualizing how their furniture will look in an empty house, plus the size of the home can be deceiving when it is empty.  Should you need more information please email me atSherry@SherryMills.netor log onto SherryMills.net.  I'll be happy to discuss with you any questions you have.  Keep your chin up and Keep On Truckin. ...read more

Great Place to Work

This is a testament to Tarheel Realty II whom I have choosen to work at for over a year now.  I had worked in Statesville as a Realtor since 1997 and went to Mooresville for two years right before the housing bubble burst.  I chose to come back to Statesville  for several reasons, one being the convenience of working at a smaller company.  And I have to tell you, this has absolutely been the best company I have ever had the pleasure with which to work.  We are a company of ten Realtors all working together as a team.  We are always there to support each other, help each other and step in where necessary.  The owner has provided us with so many amenities, the best of which is a full time manager and a part time office assistant that takes care of all the paper work and detailed information that leaves us Realtors open to do more business with and for our clients.  She has provided us with the opportunity to be a member of three mls systems serving the Greater Charlotte area, Hickory, NC and Winston-Salem, NC.   That gives our clients homes exposure to thousands upon thousands of Realtors and buyers in North Carolina.  Along with the exceptional company website and syndication of all our listings on multiple real estate sites, we also have ready access to Realtor.com thru the company.  That gives us the capability to enhance our listings for better exposure for our clients.  The 'paper' advertising this company offers is always geared towards getting our clients the best exposure possible in as many areas as possible.  The company checks often to see what is getting the best results and updates as necessary.  Reaching a wide variety of buyers for our Statesville homes for sale has been our greatest and most successful challenge.  We are quickly becoming one of the most success companies in the area.  Not only does the owner provide us with excellent staff and services, the company as a whole pulls together to get involved in the community in a number of ways.  We believe community involvement gives our company the number one advantage over all the other real estate companies out there.  We strive to show our customers and clients that we are area experts for Statesville and surrounding towns such as Mooresville.  Being involved in activities such as golf tournaments, 5k races, balloon events for the schools, Christmas parades and the Statesville Chamber of Commerce gives us the opportunity to get to know our neighbors and their home and business needs.  Anytime a customer/client needs information about Statesville and the homes for sale they can depend on us the be there for them.  For more information about us, please visitwww.tarheel-realty.com ...read more

What this Realtor Does for Her Client ~ Statesville Homes

I am sure many people have often wonderedwhat exactly does their Realtor do for them.  So I won't bore you with the obvious of listing data on the mls, creating flyers, homebooks, postcards, filing out paper work, internet marketing, entering data on multiple websites, local advertising, etc.   All of that is just part of thebasic business of real estate.  I am sure too, you aren't really interested in hearing how we spend hours researching listings to find homes that match your search criteria, making calls to zoning, looking up deeds, tax records, plats, home owners associations, covenants and restrictions, etc. just to be able to give you all the answers.  That too is just part of thebasic real estate businesswe are more than happy to perform for our clients.  I know that anyone who has ever worked with a Realtor knows that we spend multiple hours in the car going from home to home helping our client further research potential homes and have educated ourselves beforehand to be sure we can intelligently answers questions that arise.  Once again, just part of the business we are so good at and are pleased to do. However, have you every sat down and asked your Realtor how they go the extra mile in negotiations?  I wish my husband could tell you of my experiences.  Afterall, at times it seems I spend more time helping my clients than I do at home.  I have to almost laugh as I look back at some of the things I have done in the name ofreal estate negotiation.  I spent a lot of time negotiating a contract for a couple (who are teachers) with four children to include various preparations of the home for renovations.  In the process, before the house went under contract I went in and organized the kids rooms, scrubbed walls,  cleaned windows, cleaned bathrooms and generally straightened and gave the missus ideas on how to stage the property.  Then after a few weeks of negotiating..... they all agreed on a price, but - get this.   The house had to be prepped for renovations.  Oh well, the hardest was yet to come.   I packed for them and helped them move into their rental house down the street.  (Oh, by the way, did I mention I negotiated the rental deal for them also? )   I packed up Goodwill items and had a 16 foot flatbed trailer full that I took to Goodwill.  I hauled off the same trailer loaded with trash to the dump.  I pulled carpet and padding, removed a stove and spackled walls.  Boy was I ready for this deal to close.  But you know what?   I have the satisfaction of knowing I helped people who could not have managed on their own.  They were getting up at 5:30 to be at school by 6:30, tutored afterwards and taught extra classes in the evenings, plus managed to carry their children back and forth to sporting events throughout the week and on weekends.  All in all, it was just part of my job. There are many instances like this where I have gone the extra mile for my clients.  Want to know about more?  Maybe I'll blog about them next.  In the meantime visit my website. www.SherryMills.net ...read more
