There may be tons of advice that you could take if you research online long and often enough, there are 3 keys to local marketing that stand out. The first key is to make sure that you have a mechanism in place that allows you to add to your data base of customer day after day. There's a piece of software called a auto responder. If a website owner doesn't have this, then they are leaving thousands of dollars in revenue on the table to be snatched up by their competition. I can't stress the importance of having. The second key is to do enough research to get an idea of what keywords your potential customers are typing into the search engines. if you don't know that, then having a website serves zero purpose. Sure you can add it to your business card to give someone the impression that you're up to speed on your technology. Why make that kind of investment in a website only for it to not get seen? (happens more than I care to mention) The third key to local marketing is to use video in your marketing efforts. Let me ask you a questions. If you could create a television commercial that could be seen by consumers or businesses in your surrounding area that need or want your product or service, how much would your business benefit from that? There are specific things that you need to understand about marketing your video online of course. I'm talking about a 30 to 90 second video that can be accessed 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
