Called to find out about a used controller. They searched for a store with used controllers and when I didnt want to pay for a new one, just an old one, they became short with me. The crabtree store claimed they could even search stores or give a number to a neighboring location despite capital saying otherwise. Im done with game store nerds and a-- holes! ...read more

I bought a wii. One of the game discs would not work (the sport disc). I went there, and they exchanged it with a used beat up one. I said "hey!" and they said I could accept it, or write to Nintendo.\t\n\t\nThey don't back up their stuff. They just sell it, then you're on your own if it doesn't work. ...read more

Good: \t\nLarge selection of used games\t\nThe employees are uber dorks and can make you feel good about yourself knowing that while you still love playing video games, you're not that bad\t\n\t\nBad:\t\nMore expensive than best buy (if you use the reward zone benefits) or amazon (if you get free shipping - which you usually do)\t\nIncredibly annoying staff*\t\n\t\n*To clarify:\t\n1) The staff always talks with what I call a "teacher voice" - that is, the volume of their voice would only be tolerable if they were in a room with 30 kids all talking at the same time. \t\n2) They don't know when to shut up. \t\n3) They don't seem to understand that not everyone who goes in there spends 80hrs a week playing WOW (World of Warcraft)\t\n4) They don't seem to understand that you're not there to be their friend\t\n5) They don't know the old saying "The customer is always right"\t\n6) I've seen them try to talk moms into purchasing things that they don't really need - i.e. a $20+ usb cable for charging ps3 controllers\t\n\t\nDisclaimer: all above is based on my personal experience in several NC gamestop & ebgames locations ...read more
