I lived at Wakefield Glen for a year and a half. I have had so many problems with the management ( VERY unprofessional) and billing that couldn't be explained. I was billed for a month that I was not there! I moved in on February 2011 and was billed for January. When bringing this to their attention, they apologized and said it was a billing error they would take care of it. I went through this over and over again until I moved out. It's almost April 2013 and it's now showing on my credit report. Of course, once again they are under new management (which seems to happen ALOT) and it seems that no one could help me until I contacted the management companies and told them I was going to sue. Since then I only recieved a phone call from the corporate office wanting to know exactly what was going on. Terrible lack of communication. No set office hours, nobody answers phone or emails, nobody ever at office when we went to try to get things resolved. We rented a home managed by BRE and had found issues (including heat not working and electrical issues) when we did walk through before moving in beginning of October (yes, when it was getting cold) Was told maintenance would be sent out to fix issue on Monday, yet 3 weeks later, and many emails/phone calls, the heat was still not working. When we finally got Rachel to answer the phone, she told us to call a company to fix it and send them the bill. We had a HVAC company come fix it, and paid the $869.66 bill, and had to contact an attorney to be reimbursed. Throughout the rest of the year we lived there, numerous problems occurred with 2-3 week waiting times. When our year was up, we sent in our 30 day notice and moved out. Security deposit was to be refunded in 60 days of lease ending, took 5 months. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! ...read more

It is going to be a hot day in Raleigh today! I don't mind at all since I am in a comfortable office with my own thermostat. I can control the HVAC in my office without the hassle of asking the building manager to turn up the AC in my area. They always have good reasons for not changing the settings on a building wide HVAC system. The people at the end of the hall are freezing while you are baking. There is really nothing you as the renter of the office can do to control a HVAC system like that. Everyone suffers and nothing is ever resolved for all of the tenants in that building. That is why at Executive Office Suites Raleigh we have installed thermostats in every office and meeting room. Each tenant can control their personal HVAC settings.
