My mom bought her contacts there and they quoted her a price, when they found out she had insurance they changed the quote. I called them to get an email address so I could send them my prescription for contacts and the lady I spoke with was very rude. She said I could only fax my prescription. I phoned the store and got "Hello." When I asked if I had reached Union Optical, he said "Call back in 10 minutes." and hung up on me. I called back and got voice mail and I said "That was very rude of you to hang up on me." A few minutes later, he called my office in a rage demanding to speak to the person who left him a message. When I spoke to him I told him again that he had been very rude when he hung up on me. He stated that he was sorry buy he was very busy. DO NOT go to this establishment if you are one of the millions of contact wearers who orders their contacts online. I went to this office last year. I ordered some contacts for quick convenience and later went to make an order with an online company I deal with often. Per law the prescription needs to be verified by the doctor. Talk about a sham!!!! This place won't even get the doctor on the phone to do this confirmation. First they try and say they have no record of me. Then they say they do have record. Then they cannot perform a simple task of allowing the contact company to talk to the doctor. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! I sunk $150+ into the place and have a prescription still good that I can't even use because of their bad business practices! ...read more
