I am very disappointed with my recent ATTEMPT to order flowers from Young's Flower Cart. I live in Michigan and my sister lives in Matthews NC. For her birthday, I always send her flowers and this year, instead of ordering from 1800-flowers, which requires often times that she unwrap and arrange what I've sent, I decided to try ordering from a local florist. Online, I was able to choose a dozen pink roses to be delivered on a Friday. My order was placed on the Monday before. I received a confirmation number. The evening of her birthday, I spoke with my sister who informed me that she had never received any flowers. The following morning, I called Youngs numerous times and heard only the whistle of a fax machine. After maybe a dozen attempts, someone answered and said that because I placed my order on a Monday, and they are closed on Mondays, my order was never placed. They "turn off the machine" when they're not there, but nowhere is this mentioned on the website. Ridiculous. ...read more
