Tax 2000

We filed our taxes for 2010 with Tax2000, and everything seemed fine until we got audited. When we contacted Tax 2000 we were told that it was a statewide issue, and that thousands of people had been targeted with claims that they owed taxes due to missing forms etc. We were also told that Tax2000 would represent us in this matter and get everything straightened out, all we had to do was sign and fax a form giving our consent. We should have seen a red flag when it took several weeks for Tax2000 to fax a simple form, however, we continued to trust Sheri. Nine months later, we have still been trying to contact Sheri. The cellphone number she gave us is usually off. If it rings, she doesn't pick-up, and the voice mailbox has been full since last year. The office is never open, and the mailboxes are full on those lines as well. Not only has our tax issue not been handled, it seems as though it was never looked into. This has been the most ridiculous tax experience I have ever encountered. All went well at the initial appointment and I will admit we did not have everything we needed. However, we sent our missing information via email to Sheri within 48 hours.We called several WEEKS later, after still hearing nothing and we were told yes the information was received and they would be filed. Someone told us we should receive an invoice in the mail and we could get a copy of our taxes. We waited and waited....and never heard any information or received any invoices or received a copy of our returns. More than a month and a half later...in JUNE we called again to double check. Turns out our information and refund got lost in the shuffle. They had filed an extension for us. WITH OUT TELLING US! So our taxes weren't actually filed until June 26! Still have no copy of returns and don't know if we'll ever get one. We will NEVER go back. ...read more

If I could give them a zero I would! They did our taxes in 2009 and we got hit by the IRS. Called Sheri and she told me that it was the computer that saw something, It does it all the time and it was fine. Not to worry. She gave us her cell phone number so we could call her. This was the first time we talked to her about it. She gave us her fax number so she could look at it to make sure that was what it was. The fax number didn't work. She told us that some businesses did work with her fax and just e-mail it to her. I e-mailed her over 12 times and still nothing. She will not pick up the phone and is closed most of the time. Today we got served papers from the IRS! Papers that she told us that she would help us with. We never hard from her. Now we get to pay for something she didn't put down.
