Village Video is a great place. Even though the updating process was strenuous, the employees were never anything less than understanding and helpful. Everybody is so friendly- great if you have kids as well. I've even seen the employees playing with kids while the parents looked for movies! Movie prices are significantly lower than other places, and the store is locally owned and operated. Because of this, the manager is often able to work closely with customers. They copy old home videos to DVDs, do special orders if you wish to purchase a DVD they cant or dont offer for sale, and all with a smile. Do not, under any circumstances rent from them. I have been a customer for over ten years, and recently was told that they were updating their system and would no longer be able to rent to me because I did not have a credit card on file. So I either have to put a credit card on file or $50. $50! If I had $50 I would buy the movie. The reason I rented from Village Video in the first place was because they did not require a credit card to be placed on file. Now half-way through the game they change the rules.
