I have seen many doctors over the years and Dr Dorn is the best ever. He LISTENS to me and never acts rushed (though I think that sometimes puts him behind in the schedule). We wanted a natural delivery after a previous C section and no one else would even discuss it with us. Dr Dorn reviewed all my records and helped us to make an informed decision. I have been a patient at this office for 16 years. My doctor is Kalpen Patel and he is the most understanding dr I have ever had. He never rushes me and answers all my questions. I am currently pregnant with my 4th child and absolutely love him!! There have been a handful of times I've had to wait but usually due to an emergency at the hospital. The down side is they are affiliated with Cornerstone Healthcare and they are interested in money first and caring for the patient 2nd. The office Manager is rude and uncaring to patients needs and concerns. I was expected to give up my whole life history with an internet interview including names and birth dates of my children. After which I did complete I was then asked for my husbands and my social security numbers, address, phone number and then I was to let them take my picture for their records. After completing the online interview at home I was told at the office that the 27 pages that I did complete online was not enough. When I refused to have my picture taken and give my social security information do to my concerns of identity theft my appointment was immediately cancelled. I offered my drivers license as identification and I was told that it was not accepted at their offices. To all please be cautious not to let any business have all of this information in their computer system. Especially, the gynecologists office. Security leaks do happen and you can be victimized if this information gets into the wrong hands. I did not get a chance to see a doctor at this office and was told by the Office Manager that she was the end of the line for contact information. My hope in writing this review would be that one of the doctors from this office would read this information and try to make changes to their office procedures. This business is now closed, though the sponsoring doctor from Carolina WomanCare is still open and both businesses failed to let their clients know that we must find alternate ob or gyn care. My son was born more than a year ago and the overseeing business still owes me money. My experience with tthe midwives was good during my prenatal care and birth at the local hospital. However, all the headaches have come after the services were already rendered. I have since had to deal with the continued incompetence of Carolina WomanCare and their billing service which has taken 14 months and still can't file the insurance claim correctly. If in my power I will never deal with Carolina WomanCare again once this matter is resolved. After waiting over one hour for my schedule appointment, I was seen by one of the physicans. I felt rushed through as if I wa sin thr drive thru of a local restaurant. After being given an opinionated speach by the physican, I left the office. After two weeks I received a bill for a lab for tests that were not aurthoized by me nor needed or requested. I contacted the office only to be told that they are not responsible. I felt completely out of control, as why should I have to pay over $300.00 for lab work that was not needed....This physican took it upon herself to order tests on my behalf without my authorization. ...read more

This practice has four physicians, all with local hospital privileges. All physicians seem to have good rapport with patients, and the offices are fairly new. Each physician has his or her own nurses, so you see the same people each time.... ...read more
