Dangerous center. Children are not supervised...I have seen and heard more horror stories of children not being monitored and neglected, including my own children. Majority, not all, of staff are not interested in working with children and rarely interact or engage children. They don't follow their own policies and staff is very dishonest when you confront them with a problem. The webcams help show how little is done for your children, but staff know the blind spots - I thought the cameras would be a comfort, but they only uncovered their mistreatment of children. ...read more

Practice and Memory

An average mind takes time and continuous exposure to certain set of data before it becomes a memory. Students are bombarded with information in every minute of the day. Information, data becomes a part of memory by use and repetition. The practical things in life like standing, walking, sports etc are all physical memory imprinted into our brains. However, the intellectual memory is different. In terms of academics, the student first needs to understand the basics. The brain should be apt at understanding a certain level of knowledge before it can comprehend the complex part. Then follow through with repetition, self questioning and realization of the ideas. Students, young and older, are not able to process the massive amount of data. Let’s say, they get a ‘overload of storage and processing’. This results in a lower memory for few or confusion in concepts for most. Many problems faced by the students such as low grades, short attention span and lack of understanding is a result of excessive information. Academic studies have to plan in such a way that the flow of information is systematic and should follow the process of repetition and follow up. Etutorszone applies a ‘systematic way of information flow ‘ that benefits the student the most. Each session is of 60 minutes. It includes explanation of a pre-determined topic that is limited to the student’s scope, the Q/ A time, discussion of assignment and a little personal time that may include any game or activity pertaining to the topic. Following this custom -made practice homework is sent to the student after each session. This enables the teacher and student to gauge the level of understanding. Each homework/ practice is discussed in the following session to retain accuracy of answers. This makes the student confident in their work and if required the errors are rectified. Etutorszone plans also make sure that each topic is atleast discussed twice: one from teacher’s point of view and the other as per student. This gives student more clarity then one way communication. Etutorszone has tried and tested this formula and are proud to say that our students love it as well. ...read more

eTutorsZone - Passion and Quality of Teaching

Education is becoming a major driver of economic competitiveness in an increasingly knowledge-driven global economy. The imperative for countries to improve employment skills calls for quality teaching within educational institutions. As education systems grow and diversify, society is increasingly concerned about the quality of teaching. Much attention is given to public assessments and international rankings of higher education institutions. We as a passionate and concerned group of people had endeavored to set up benchmarks on the quality of teaching. In our services we provide with students:Foundation of Learning – We believe that unless the foundations of learning are firmly established students will be unable to take full advantage of their future learning opportunities. We see the foundation skills very much as a means to an end to enable our students to develop into life long learners.Dynamic Curriculum – Quality teaching must be thought of dynamically, in light of contextual shifts in the education environment. Many children struggle in schools… because the way they are being taught is the way is incompatible with the way they learn. Here we have child centered one to one teaching where the curriculum is sculptured looking into pace of the child. A basic strategy in all teaching/learning will be the: ‘plan -do-reflect/record and what next cycle’. All students will be encouraged to use this process.Innovative and Interactive Technology – We give more attention to the interplay between the science of teaching – pedagogy – and the art of teaching… A teacher is anchored in pedagogy and blend imagination, creativity and inspiration into the teaching learning process to ignite a passion for learning in student. Technology has improved pedagogy and student-teacher interactions.Competent Teachers – We believe that Good teaching is forever being on the cutting edge of a child’s competence. What a child can do today with assistance, she will be able to do by herself tomorrow. Our team is blended with teachers of qualification and experience that makes the base of powerful learning strategies that can make the child confident and applicative in this world.Congenial Learning Environment – Our teaching environments are celebratory and informative. If assisting students achieve their ‘personal best’ is seen as the ‘art’ of teaching then classroom management is the ‘craft ‘of teaching! All the points above are all ‘folded’ into each other but unless learning environment is well managed and organized, and students are able to work independently. We focus on healthy and comfortable tutoring zone for each individual with one to one personal attention. No place is serene and cozy than home that makes our program most effective and productive.‘All learning begins when our comfortable ideas turn out to be inadequate. One in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right. Your choice can bring a difference in your child’s life, so don’t compromise with education just trust in our program and see the difference. We believe by limiting these to five key beliefs (‘beams of light’) they are easier to learn, enrich and excel.www.etutorszone.com ...read more
