AHS send a plumber to my residence due to a leaking refrigerator. Contractor said I needed a part(as usual). Said it would take about 4-5 days. Over a week later, no part, no call, no plumber. I called AHS, after a 30-minutes wait, a non-speaking Rep answered and told me she would call the company(put me on hold). 40-minutes later, the connection drop. I thought she would call me back since I had just spent 70- minutes on this call. No she did not. Of course, I call back and had to go back to another 30- minutes wait until I got another non-speaking rep. except for this time, she read the notes and said that I could not have another contractor come to the house (which I requested) because the previous one had already come out. I requested to speak to a supervisor because I told her that my refrigerator was still leaking. The Rep, named Venus told me that there were no supervisors available to speak to me. ...read more

I do not recommend this company!!! The project manager, Mike Houser, came to my house to give me an estimate on getting electric in my shed. He told me that he would email the exact price of how much it will cost me. I have not got an email or a phone call back from him so about two weeks later, I call him asking him about my quote. He told me that he was on the way to the office and that he'll send it to me. I didn't get anything so I called him that evening and didn't get an answer. I left him a message asking him to call me back. He never called back. I called again the next day and left him another message and still didn't get a response. So I called the office and told the secretary the whole issue and she assured me that she would make sure someone calls me that same day. No one has called me. I had an appointment for them to come install electricity yesterday and they were a no show. I honestly think the man is racist. I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!! ...read more

Quality Filters

Always Buy a Good Filter You may not give much thought to the filter in your house. You know, thing in the return grill of your central heat and air system? Sure, most of us try to change it every month, if we remember. But hardly any of us realize that this can be a very nice way to increase our home’s health and comfort, if it’s a good one. So how do you know if it’s a good one? What does it look like? A mass of messy hair is what most filters look like. If you could pour salt right through your existing filter it’s not a good filter. Oh, it’s adequate, and will temporarily protect your heat and air system from debris accumulation, but that’s about all it will do. Okay, so what do you look for? The market has many filters available today and some are good but many are dangerous for your system. You want a filter that is pleated and, if unfolded would have a very large surface area. If the filter is pleated BUT is only about one inch thick it is NOT a good filter! These filters are not large enough in total surface area and will “choke” your system! Look for a pleated filter that is at least five inches thick. I can’t encourage you enough to look for a good, reliable filter. I recently replaced a typical one inch “cheap-o” filter with a five inch thick pleated filter and saw a tremendous difference in the home! There was much less dust and all of us felt better and slept better – a notable difference, for sure! If you’re in doubt look to your local Heat and Air Contractors! They will have the most widely recommended filters on the market, and can probably deliver them to you when you have your maintenance appointment in the Spring or Fall. You DO havemaintenancedone, don’t you? ...read more
