Davenport Customs

5.0

By mtkoren

When I spoke with Jimmy who I think owns Davenport about putting sound deadening in my doors, a subwoofer under the seat and a custom remote audio input connection for my factory radio, I didn t expect that mild-mannered, casual individual to be so good. When I got the car back, there was an issue through no fault of theirs and they fixed it on the spot without complaint and in good spirits even though it took parts and over an hour of their time. They exceeded my expectations, did beautiful work, gave me very good value, and are really nice people to boot! I would trust my car to them in the future and already have more plans for them. I have no connection to this store other than finding one near my home so I could walk home. What a pleasant surprise!! ...read more

Spotted: the 2014 Acura MDX

With 2013 rapidly approaching, Acura is wasting no time testing its 2014 model MDX. The luxury SUV's production is set to begin in early 2013. This test model's body can be seen in greater detail, giving a better picture of the car's body. This 2014 MDX prototype seems to be similar to the 2013 mode, with slight upgrades and additions. Automobile magazine said, "With lighter weight materials, engine tweaks, and even the possibility of a nine-speed automatic transmission, the 2014 MDX should easily approach others in the class when it comes to efficiency. The 2014 Acura MDX volume model will likely use a version of the 310-hp direct-injection 3.5-liter V-6 coming to the 2014 Acura RLX". Hopefully, more news concerning the 2014 MDX will continue to come our way! Check back on our blog for more updates as they come our way. ...read more

RLX: Sneak Peak!

The 2014 RLX, the RL-replacement sedan, will make its debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The concept version was displayed earlier this year in April, but we are anxious to see all the features of this new model. The RLX will hit showrooms sometime during the first half of next year. Though all the particulars are unknown, some features include four-wheel steering, an updated AcuraLink communication system, LED headlights, and a suite of passive and active safety systems. The new RLX will also have collision mitigation breaking system, lane keep assist, numerous airbags, and camera monitoring systems. This new Acura model boasts more room inside due to the track and vehicle width increasing by two inches. Dimensionally, the RLX is approximately the same length as the former RL, but with a two-inch longer wheelbase and two-inch shorter front overhang. We're excited to see the 2014 RLX completely revealed in the coming months! Be sure to stay tuned for more information! ...read more
