HORRIBLE office, please avoid at all costs. I have permanent scarring and loss of joint mobility after what was supposed to be a simple, elective procedure. I was left with an open wound that took 3 months to heal despite being a healthy, active 22 year old with no medical problems. Now 9 months later I am still in daily chronic pain with permanent effects on my hand. My life has been permanently changed because of the carelessness of PA Ron Rodriguez, who never even had me sign informed consent until after my procedure was finished (probably when he realized his huge error in my procedure). The administrative staff is rude, cold, and unwilling to help fix this situation. Almost a month's worth of my phone calls and emails went ignored and I have been hung up on multiple times by a receptionist named Jennifer until I filed a complaint with the NC Medical Board against this joke of a practice... then in the middle of corresponding back and forth via email with a manager, Jan, the communication abruptly stopped and now again, all of my efforts at reaching out have been ignored. These people do not think about anything but money and couldn't care less about what they have done to me. I am so disgusted and hurt by the actions of these careless "medical professionals" and I would not wish this experience on anybody. My IP Stay at CMC was paid by charity because I was living in poverty status and was immediately approved for charity funds I requested because I knew they were available. While the same drs that work in house at the same building they get to use another name to bill for other charges. I have contacted them many times requesting this bill be written off which I know they can do and use for income tax write off. Today I get a bill from a Collection Agency. I have been having problems with bruising easily and lots of fatigue> I do not eat well, have diabetes and I admit I am overweight. I had seen 3 different Doctors the past 9 months and no answers. The first day I met Dr. Bauer he did a physical examined my heart, lungs, stomach, neck and legs. He then had his lab girl do blood work that same day and did an ultrasound of my abdomen the next day in his office. He called my that same night and told me my problem. More test were done the next day and It is all from a " fatty liver". I do not drink, I tested negative for all the hepatitis viruses and are on no toxic medications. I have been told about this fatty liver for 10 years but NO ONE told me it could cause this if it was not controlled until Dr. Bauer diagnosed it. I have already lost 34 lbs, my numbers are getting better and I take metformin. He is keeping a close eye on me with his GI associate at Carolina Digestive Health.
