Same issue here as others have noted using this guy. These guys size up jobs and make up prices depending on the house he works at. A total crook. DO not use this guy. I complained to Thumbtack about this scammer. Here is what I wrote them.Hi. I used your service twice in the last week. The first was to hire a chef. He comes in on 12/25/15 so we have yet to evaluate the quality of his service. I relied on you guys a second time for a tv installer. I called several and one, who was a bit more costly, said he could come the next day. I said ok. He quoted $399. High but not outrageous. David Vega came in with a helper from DKR Audio & Video. Easy job. Straight mount and plug in. When he finishes, he claims "it was lot more work" (all of 45 minutes) and demand $600 for his efforts. A total ripoff. This crook does not belong on your site. I am the customer who relies on you. When you vet a service, you ned to do a better job. I will avoid you in the future due to this scammer who impacts your integrity.
