***African American Entreprenuers, 2012 Tournament Goers, Beautiful People of Color*** Strike City is NOT for YOU! What I discovered after a recent visit (January 2012) and after surveying many of my african-american and non-black friends forced me to sound a warning to my QC family and visitors. Consensus has it that my brothers will be harassed for there urbanwear (even with a belt and designer shoes), and ladies will be forced to pull up a chair because those "red-bottoms" will be hurting your toes from waiting so long to get a lane. There is no order no list and rules apparently. My party asked to be placed on the waiting list at 8pm so we could receive a lane at some point that evening to celebrate a birthday. We left at 12:15am and were NEVER CALLED to play. I was told there is a "20% rule" and I'm inclined to believe its true because at one point we looked around and most of the 80% non-black crowd were gone and all that remained were emptiy chairs and black people. Oh and two people obviously wasted on something who put on a show groping and grinding on one another with no interruption for nearly 15 minutes. (A classy place? I think not). I"m sure when we take over the city in early March they will be singling quite another song (probably Maybach Music) to "hoodwink" and "bamboozle" those who are visiting out of there well -earned stacks with inflated prices and phoney hospitality. DONT BE FOOLED. It will be all they can do to stand you for a week until you go back home. And Ill give you one guess what they'll be calling you after your gone? Call to Action: Keep your money in your pocket. Make a statement. This treatment is UNACCEPTABLE and will not be tolerated. We see you. We tried to go on a Saturday night, for a family night and even though there were several lanes open, we could not get one. It was"league" night and we were told sorry nothing available. Not to mention the the place smells really BAD! Even though is says no smoking, people were smoking and it had a musty smell. It is very dark and dirty looking. We ended up at Centennial Lanes and had the BEST time. Don't waste the time or gas going to Park Lanes, it's not what it used to be.
