I worked for Sunstates Security for 6 months in Roanoke, Virginia. The guards are purposely threatened and harassed by the site supervisor because Sunstates Security wants to have a high turnover in the number of guards. The branch managers job is made more secure because not a week goes by without having to hire several new guards. The site supervisor Captain Leo Ingram used terrible language describing a sexual related incident to a female guard by the name of Barbara Crossley who felt uncomfortable with what was said and later complained to the branch manager Sam Witty. All the branch manger wanted to do was sweep the incident under the rug to spare Sunstates Security from any embarrassment and not hear any testimony from any of the witnesses. The branch manager made it clear that if any guard used such language, it would be automatic grounds for termination but the site supervisor should walk away from all this because he is part of management.
