I went in on Sunday and walked a dog that I thought would be perfect. We were able to play with her outside and have a great time. Thats where the enjoyment ended. We were treated horribly from the people working there while I filled out the application. I was told that she was seeing a vet the next day and then I would be notified. The next day they called to ask if I could bring my other dog down to meet her. My husband left early from work and we all went down with our current dog. As we walked in the dog we liked was with another family and they were alos filling out an application and my duaghters heart dropped! We waited patiently with nonoe trying to help or greet us and then the leash was thrown at me from another interested person!! We brought the dog outside to meet our dog and they got along great, I asked what was next and was told a home visit. We called several times, no returned calls. They don't even deserve 1 star. You go there with the intention to save a pet (my one dog died last week and my current 1 year old collie puppy is devastingly depressed). So I have been looking all over for a large breed puppy. I didn't like this place when I first went there (it is dank and unfriendly) but my friends encouraged me. I saw a puppy on the weekend (collie mix) filled out the paper work they said I couldn't get her until they checked everything out on Monday. I was the only person who put in an application for her. Monday, after checking all my references, they call me and tell me that they decided a retired couple who put their application in on Sunday would be better than my family and I didn't get the dog. They do this with each animal! This is insane. It is no wonder there are so many dogs euthanized. I will never go back and never suggest anyone visit there who is interested in a new pet. Go to the animal shelter up the street. They truly want to help pets! ...read more
