About Bladenboro, NC
Bladenboro is a part of the (Bladen County)[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bladen_County,_North_Carolina] region/metro area of North Carolina. As of the 2000 census, the town had a population of 1,718 and it has a land area of 2.2 square miles. Bladenboro was incorporated in 1903 with the development of the railroad. Bladenboro was also heavily involved in the timber and cotton business before the establishment of the of Bridger Corporation, Bladenboro Cotton Mills, and Bank of Bladenboro, which were all major employers during its early years. Bladenboro has also been in the television series, (Monster Quest)[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monster_Quest] for a series of mysterious animal killings in the 1950s. Schools in Bladenboro include Bladenboro Elementary School, Bladenboro Middle School, and West Bladen High School.
