Carroll's Motorcycle & ATV Repair

His prices are probably the lowest you'll find locally. He's a one man shop. The problem is while he may fix your bike for the lowest price, something else related ends up happening. If you go there, note what your bike looks like. We can't afford to go back.\r\n\r\nWe've gone for a few different issues. My own bike was scratched by his tools (it's obvious). I let it go and paid for touch up paint and the scratches were deep. He gets cash and we pay less but in the end, it's not worth it.\r\n\r\nWent back for another job with a different bike and the work was not right and he messed up a related part of the bike. Since he is far from us, we again did not go back. We will pay to correct the problem in the spring but not at Carroll's.\r\n\r\nHis heart is in the right place but we're sticking with the known dealers who are local. ...read more

We looked at many over a period of time and test drove one bike. It was a bit scratched up, 11 years old, and the mileage was rather high. They wanted to bargain with us before we had a chance to test drive it. I found that astounding and ridiculous. We came home. Got on the internet. Found a five year newer bike in good condition with extras and 1/2 the mileage for less money than the one at M R. I'm not kidding.I expect them to be able to make a living but expecting me to make an offer on a bike I hadn't test driven was beyond crazy. Used bikes gets a 2 star.Their gear selection is disappointing. It appears that 90% of their helmets are DOT and below. Ended up buying our helmets over the internet (it worked out fine). I like the people in the store A LOT but the quality is below par. The people in the store get a 4. Just wish they had something I could trust to purchase.I will say their used bikes seem much better than Blue Ridge Riders on Tunnel Road. ...read more

True Story! I bring my bike in for a DX (had to leave it there) and was told "It'll be a months wait". I ask if he could "overnight" the parts to get the work done faster. He then has the ballz to tell me that if puts my bike ahead of everyone waiting; it'll cost me $180/hour (triple what he normally costs!) since that was way more than i could afford I ultimately say I cannot wait that long and that I'll work on it myself. I have a friend drive me to pick up the bike 5 hours later. When i get there it's been disassembled! I ask him to put it back together. He says, if you plan on working on it; you can put it back together! I say, NO WAY! Put it back together so I can drive it home! He says, I cannot let you drive it home in that condition, so I'll charge you $30 to drive you and the bike home. Without a choice, I agree. As he's hauling the bike on a trailer, his "grease monkey mechanic" began accosting me: "You know you're rude! He's really busy and doesn't have time to drive you aro ...read more
