The Great American Small Business Challenge TheGASBCis a year long event, starting January 1, 2009 and running through December 31, 2009. The event is designed to help small business owners develop a faster, easier and better business development process. The GASBC encourages business owners to set-up their organizational infrastructure and to gain the essential leadership skills needed to turn their business into a rewarding, profit generating enterprise. The Challenge is a collaborative effort between our corporate and non-profit Sponsors, participating Small Business Development Centers (SBCDs), members of the America's Small Business Development Network (ASBDC) and other organizations who provide resources, services and funding to small businesses. Everyone who participates in the Challenge has an opportunity to win aBronze, Silver, Gold or Platinumaward. The Challenge is structured so that everyone who participates is a winner. In essence, small businesses are competing with themselves, not each other. Challenge participants will be listed on The Great American Small Business Challenge web site and will have the opportunity to gain FREE national publicity.
