Tie Plant is an unincorporated community located in Grenada County, part of central Mississippi. The largest nearby city is Granada. One of the best places to visit when you are in Tie Plant is Tallahatchie National Wildlife Refuge, a national protected wildlife reservation, part of which is located nearby. Local businesses include Koppers Inc and Gale's Custom Creations in nearby Grenada. In addition to being served by the Grenada School District, the Tie Plant area is also near the Kirk Academy, a large private Christian elementary and secondary school, as well a being adjacent to a branch of Holmes Community College.
