Pearl is a city in Rankin County in the Jackson Metropolitan Statistical Area in Mississippi known for its growing community across the Pearl River and its superior education opportunities and a strong economy. Major attractions in Pearl include the large City of Pearl Community Center and the Pearl Municipal Golf Course. Each year in the summer, Pearl holds an event called Summerfest which has fireworks, live music, carnival rides, food, arts, and pony rides. Among the biggest companies in Pearl is the Magnolia Pewter Company. The biggest schools here are Hinds Community College and Pearl High School, home of the pirates. One of the best places to visit while in Pearl is Trustmark Park. Here, the Mississippi Braves, a minor league baseball team played their first game in 2005.
