I attended LCA for about seven years. Everyday was a living hell. Jan Reed was the conductor of this hell. She went out of her way to make sure that no one was happy. She would directly insult students and punish and even expel students for insulting her or her family. However, if a student brought crack cocaine and put it in their locker, they would get a slap on the wrist because they still brought in the money. Jan Reed would do everything possible to get extra money from the students to pay for their crappy new building. They would often use charging money as a punishment. The curriculum they used was insufficient mostly due to the fact that they did nothing but sit on their butts and not teach. Everyday was emotionally traumatizing. I'm sure that some students have had to have therapy after leaving. If you tick her off you can forget about going to another school because she won't give you your transcripts! I attended lighthouse for about 5 yrs.everyday was horrible i could not stand it.jan would just be hateful she would clam that she hated the word shutup! but we all kno its 2 words but it was different when she separated it to shut up..i was a senior their she drove me to the point i had to walk out or would have been very hateful she pushed me to the point i almost threw my whole future away.she refuses to give me my transcript still to this day.and I graduate 08' now jerry is a awesome person but he can also be the same as jan but very down to earth. At first the director seems kind and dedicated to the best interest of the children. She told me if my kids did not like the school they could return to public school. When my youngest decided to go to a different school, she refused to forward there transcripts unless I paid for the whole school year. My children attended for only 2 months. Now unless I pay several thousand dollars my daughter cannot go on to the next grade. She is money grubbing evil woman. She was unprepared never on time. I had to order the books so my kids had something to do or else they would sit around all day. The school work they did do was not comparable to public school at all. She is manipulative and a false Christian. Some day she will have to face God and be judged. All I can say is karma is a wonderful thing.
