Lombardozzi Construction are great to work with. They are both very conscientious and treat your home like they were working on their own. We hired them to do some updating prior to putting the house on the market and the work was top notch. The house sold after 2 days on the market!! Hire Lombardozzi Construction in an instant.....you will be glad you did. Great work guys....... ...read more

Cardinal Home Improvements

James from Cardinal came out to do an estimate for siding for us. I actually about kicked him out of my home by the end of the meeting. He spent 2 and a half hours at our house, which was great, we did have a lot of questions. The first half of the meeting was actually going well. He was very imformative about the siding, answered our questions, etc. However, when it got to the part of him giving us a price he was very high pressure. I told him we weren't going to make a decision today (at the beginning of our meeting). It's a lot of money and I wanted to shop around and get highly educated on siding. He told us that if we said yes today they could offer us an incentive and save $3k which brought it from $15k to $12k. Ok, well that's great but I'm not saying yes. This is when he started acting childish. He told me I was overanalyzing and went into a conversation about psychology and how there's your gut instinct and your emotional instinct (at this point he was studdering so I knew he was just saying anything to get the sale) and that if our gut is saying it's right then we should do it. He also kept saying this is what you want right? Well we told him of the choices he gave us what we would pick but we were still undecided on vinyl or fiber cement (which he bad mouthed all his competitors in a very unprofessional way if you ask me). His final desperate plea was that he would write up a contract today contigent upon us sleeping on it for a few days. This part I really didn't get. He was so desperate and studdering and by this point I was so upset I just wanted him out of our house. I had told him that we needed to wrap up as we had another company coming to do an estimate. The guy actually came as we were trying to wrap up with James. In the end he was rude to us, acted like we were idiots for passing up a good deal and was kind of throwing his stuff in his bag. We actually did like him at first and might have actually gone with Cardinal but his attitude when we wouldn't decide today blew it. Don't waste your time having them come out for their high pressure sales pitch. ...read more

Please contact me before you use this contractor. His company and workmanship are not reliable or dependable! He does not back up his ""lifetime warranty"" nor does he complete work as outlined int the contract. His workmanship is very shoddy! I filed a complaint with the BBB and he would not try to resolve. Instead, he lost his accrediation with the BBB instead of trying to get this resolved. I have pictures of his work, how he left the work area and copies of letters sent to him and the BBB. Please contact me before you use him! ...read more

Midtown Home Improvements Inc

My parents used this company to do a COMPLETE remodel of the kitchen. It was a huge job they could have done themselves, but they didn't have the time. Midtown never actually had a REAL plan. The plan they worked off was a drawing...seriously. And they never checked the measurements so as they were installing they found cabinets didn't fit and the sink wasn't centered. They compensated, but ended up with a lopsided kitchen with a cabinet sticking out on one side and an open space of NO cabinet on the other. Even putting in a door they put in a larger door than was planned which sounds like a good thing, but it ruins the flow and makes the lopsided kitchen stand out more. My parents tried to point out some of the issues and ask them to resolve them correctly as they went, but Midtown kept doing what they wanted and were very disrespectful of my parents. Find another company that measures and uses a real plan. What construction company messes up measurements and plans?! ...read more

Cardinal Home Improvements

After a very very poor experience, Ron, the advertising manager, called and said that he wanted to resolve the numerous screw ups by Cardinal employees and offered a fence "at cost." We obliged, and met with Jim Shallon. Jim told me that he was told to "do whatever it takes" to bring the sale in" and that he was willing to "get down an dirty" on pricing. He didn't. He didn't even come close. Jim quoted me an outrageous amount, and when I asked what all the price included, he explained that it was materials and labor. I reminded him that I was promised a fence "at cost." and he assured me that I was getting it. Not only did Cardinal Home Improvement not stand by their word, they also have questionable business practices. Every other word out of Jim's mouth was something negative about another company's product, services and abilities. I will NEVER do business with Cardinal Home Improvements and I'll keep my fingers crossed with anyone who decides to take the risk. ...read more
