If you are visiting St Louis, this is really worth going to. It's fun for the kids and it makes adults feel like kids again. It really sparks your imagination. It's a great place to spend your Saturday afternoon. \t\nThe outside features were actually scary for me to climb up in. They are really high up there. You will see what I mean when you go there if you haven't been.\t\nMy kids like best the part with all of the ramps that they can run up and slide down. ...read more

The World Aquarium is one of the best-kept secrets in St. Louis. I would highly recommend it for any occasion. It's not only a great place for adults, but also for children. Fun and interactive experience. I rank it A++!\t\n\t\nI would disagree with the last comment. The City Museum is absolutely incredible; I have travelled all over the U.S. and enjoyed many museums but I have to say this one is my favorite. From the amazing art which doubles as climbing, crawling, sliding, peering.....to the aquarium and the shoelace factory, the City Museum is truly individual.\t\n\t\nExhibits range from old St Louis architectural details to a room where the children build towers from old plastic jugs and then crash into them with abandon. (They all LOVE this very low tech room.) There are tunnels overhead, caves to crawl in and through, 2 slides--a 5 story one and a 10 story one (I'll do the 10 story next time; the 5 story one was lots of fun). The shoelace factory gives an inexpensive souvenier to take home in colors of your choice--I'm sporting purple/yellow ones on my walking shoes. I loved the poster art. Food choices are limited and expensive but the HUGE local handpacked ice cream cone was worth the price.\t\n\t\nI am 63 and enjoyed every minute here, although I found I was exhausted after 5 hours. Everyone should try this museum at least once but do be prepared to walk a LOT, and expect a sensory overload. I'll be back next month to experience the Rooftop as well. ...read more
