AKF in St. Louis is incompetent. Second time with NO PICKUP. I came home after work, late yesterday, and there was everything I had set out, bags and bags and boxes and boxes, just sitting there. I got a call first thing this morning from Rob west of AKF apologizing for the delay in picking up my donations, which were scheduled on Monday but not picked up until late evening Wednesday. I could tell he was very disturbed by the communications (or MIScommunications) of his staff. I am very impressed that he took the time to personally call me and address my concerns. They tell you to have your items on yur porch by 7 a.m.. It is now after 5 p.m. and still no pick up. Called the office @ 2 pm, was told truck was within 6 miles of my home. Called back at 4:15 pm and was told ' we have a lot of pickups in your area and truck is coming BEFORE DARK' This makes no sense! I am going to donate to some other charity from now on! ...read more
