Called CDA to have my security code changed before leaving on 2 month trip out of the country. They said they could change it remotely over the phone and transferred me to tech support. Unfortunately their tech "expert" accidentally de-programmed our entire system so that our alarm went off whenever I walked past one of the interior motion detectors or opened a wired door. Said they'd have to send another tech to the house to correct in a few days. Finally came by and spent 2 hours messing with system and said it was fixed. Then I get a call on my cell a month later saying the payment for "my" service call request is overdue and when will I be sending in the $200 payment!! I explained the circumstances of the situation and they said they would discuss it with the Controller. Got another call and they said they would reduce the bill by 50%.......for their error! I said I will meet with the Controller in person when I get home to present him with my service termination letter. Today I get a call from the police saying my house had been broken into, doors wide open, alarm still armed but didn't go off. When they opened the interior basement door the alarm went off. You would have to be crazy to consider using this company to protect your property. ...read more
