My neighbor recommended this car repair shop. They are local merchants - and I like keeping money in the community. Took my car the firs time. It "seemed" that before I got home, the work was done. They told me the charges. I asked if ALL the work I had requested was done . (to me the charge was too low) and all the work had been completed. Well, to say the least I was pleased with the work and the pricing. They were opened this past Sat. morning, took the car there and was told it would not be looked at until Monday. It's Monday and the call came in at 8:45 that the car is ready... That's twice they have produced way ABOVE AVERAGE and MORE THAN FAIR... I don't believe the bad review at all! It sounded like they wanted to get someone to pay for their (lemon) car. I moved here 11 years ago from IL and they have done everything from oil changes to MAJOR engine work and I have never had any problems with them. The owner/GM is always there and calls before all major work and lets me know the price and ""if"" he feels it is worth it. They have worked on 11 of my vehicles in this time span and they are the most HONEST bunch of people I have ever worked with! My own insurance company hired them to be a shop for them; because they were hundreds of dollars less than the dealership to do the same exact recall on an item. If you want good work, people who are HONEST and upfront about your car and what it really needs, without getting taken. Give them a call. I wish I could leave a NO stars rating. This place is awful, the refused to honor a Firestone quote off the internet for a battery and install. The quote is quite clear, you fill out your year, make, model and engine of car and the website gives you a quote which you print and it is stated in RED ink that if you bring it in, they will honor the quote. Well, not at the Lee's Summit location. Adam, the manager, told me it there was "No way" he would install the batter for $10 (from quote) that it was $47!! When called out on it, he said he "didn't see that" after already going somewhere else. I do feel this place takes advantage of women and they are a bunch of opportunistic crooks. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but here. I've reported this incident to the Corporate office but doubt I'll hear anything back. Terrible place. ...read more
