The woman who runs this in-home daycare does not possess a degree in education, therefore I feel it's not her place to inform parents on what "she feels" is an appropriate level of intelligence your child should be at. It's also inappropriate to discuss and compare your child to the other children whether it be regarding potty training or reading/writing skills, which happened way too often. Children should NEVER be compared as they all learn differently and at their own pace. It's unprofessional to talk and/or gossip about someone's child to another parent and it's also unprofessional to bash other daycare providers. Our child began to run to the bathroom the second we would arrive home. It was obvious they had been holding it in as long as possible. When asked why they wouldn't go "poo" at daycare, their response was "nobody will help me wipe." We also sing a "clean-up" song with our child when they get out of the tub and our child said to us, "don't sing that anymore, that song makes Tina mad and she gets mad at us when we sing that." WHAT? Are you kidding me? Our child also reported to us, a baby had to get dog food dug out of her mouth. Needless to say we no longer take our child there and have since moved our child to a new daycare, WOW what a difference it has made, we couldn't be happier and our child actually comes home happy! ...read more
