Boonville is the county seat of Cooper County, Missouri and is known as the site of early Civil War skirmishes at the Battle of Boonville. Large employers include the Isle of Capri Casino and Hotel and the Interstate Brands Corporation. Central Methodist College is located here. Boonville hosts the annual Boonville Heritage Days.
