I picked up my son twice there and he wasn't changed in a 4 hr period and he was poopy 2 days in a row. I also saw a teacher giving a child a lengthy timeout, when I pointed it out, she said Oh I totally forgot. The managers care more about your $ than you or your kids and are fake to your face. They also use aides more than certified teachers. ...read more

I was a little disappointed by the inexperience of the instructor and the lack of knowledge about the city streets. I was expecting someone with at least 5 years of experience, not someone with less than a year (especially at $75/hour). Instructor was pretty laid back but at times I worried he wasn't paying close attention to where we were going. There was a lot of confusion about the directions, which is the last thing a new driver needs to worry about ("turn left, no wait, turn right.... actually no, keep going straight..wait, yeah, straight"). The actual parking lot instruction with the cones was useful since we weren't out in actual traffic, and was the redeeming quality of the instruction. But if you're looking for experienced instructors, look elsewhere. ...read more

Thank you for doing business with honesty and integrity. . A poem... SKIN DEEP Some people say that beauty… Is only as deep as the skin. When thinking of true beauty… I think it’s found within. It is true that there is beauty… That is pleasing to the eyes. Though through the years that beauty fades… And it’s amazing how time flies. If we live to be a ripe old age… Our youthful looks will start to cease. But the beauty that’s inside of us… Has the potential to increase. So when we think of beauty… Let’s use a phrase from days of old. Our eyes they can deceive us… And all that glitters is not gold. Robert. A. We have had our daughter that CHM for 1 year; she started when she was about 8 months old in the infant room. The teachers in the infant room are wonderful, with just the right mix of quite cuddles, stroller rides and stories, and peppy, playful activities and adventures, so you don?t feel like they?re missing anything. The next room is the older infant room where the teachers have an amazing amount of patience, and really work with the parents on matters of discipline (not an easy thing, at least for us :). Our daughter loved the group activities in the OIR and fell in love with reading books. She's currently in the young toddler room where she's learning so much it?s hard for us to keep up with her. We're amazed everyday when she comes home with another thing she?s learned (colors, letters, numbers, words, songs, etc.). We have always been very pleased with the program, the teachers and the directors at the center. Every parent wonders if they are doing the right thing by sending their children to day care. Well, I can tell you that I drop her off in the morning without a fuss; all of her little friends coming running to hug her. And when we pick her up in the afternoon, she is happy as can be. What more could parents ask for? ...read more

Our daughter has attended CHM for about a year now, so she has made the transition into 3 different rooms (infant, older infant and young toddler). We have been very pleased with the program, the teachers and the directors of the center. Our daughter loves it there and we are continually impressed with the activities she participates in, the things she learns, and how much she likes her caregivers. It's really wonderful to watch. Every parent wonders if they are doing the right thing by sending their children to day care. Well I drop her off in the morning without a fuss; all of her little friends coming running to hug her. And when we pick her up in the afternoon, she is happy as can be. What more could parents ask for? ...read more

My idealistic view that all educators (in highly populated cities) are accepting and non-judgmental was wrong. The fact that there are educators who will openly criticize a parent?s values, or philosophy- not only to another person, but at times in front of that child, made me seriously question the professionalism in this center. I also assume the director of a childcare facility should make certain that such behaviors do not exist- and especially not partake in such conversations. After speaking with some teachers at this center, I was also made aware that it's in fact director who is ultimately responsible for creating such a hostile working environment, making relationships between staff difficult, which in turn brings an unacceptable learning environment for young children. Although some may find Children's House Montessori to be a great place, I can't help but wonder why this information was brought to my attention. ...read more
