Called up to get some help figuring out how I busted my fan, Jason spent 30 minutes trying to help me out. Seriously, who gives you that much time in this world? Unheard of. I ended up buying a display model off the floor when we both figured out I ruined the one I have. Gave me a solid gentlemanly honest price. Casablanca Inteli-Touch There are 3 generations of the Casablanca Inteli-Touch control system. 1st Generation(1983-1986): First generation fans used 4 main components. RMM(motor board), LDM(Light drive Module), W-11 wall control and BFR(Orange resistor around motor). 2nd Generation(1987-2009): In 1987 the RMM and LDM were combined to form the RMMIV control board. The BFR changed to a ribbon connector. Wall controls W-11 and W-12(3way) were replaced with the W-32 in 1994. 3rd Generation(2009-2015): The IT3system introduced the W-85 wall control using a radio frequency to communicate between the switch and board. The BFR was eliminated. If your Casablanca Inteli Touch fan stops working, is it worth repairing? The simple answer is, YES! The motor determines the quality of any ceiling fan... Casablanca made their name using the K55XL motor by Emerson(Casablanca later copied the Emerson motor and called it XLP2000). The Emerson K55XL has been the best motor in the industry since the early 1980's. Emerson made the motor, Casablanca made it famous. If your 1st or 2nd generation Casablanca intelitouch ceiling fan has failed. You'll need to update your electronics to 3rd generation. IT3System conversion kits IT3Kit-86 or IT3System1986 Converts all Inteli-Touch 1st generation to 3rd. The 2nd letter in your serial number determines the year of manufacture. If the 2nd letter in your serial number is R,S,T, or U you have a 1st generation fan. If your 1st generation fan has been converted to 2nd generation, follow our instructions included to remove any existing conversion plugs. IT3Kit or G265802000 Most common kit used for 2nd to 3rd generation conversions including the Panama. IT3Kit-S or G265803000 Kit for all Stealth(32xxT), Bel Air(38xxT) and Venus(24xxT). IT3Kit-M or G265805000 Kit for all Mision(97xxT), Nouvelle(96xxT) and Cathay(98xxt). Note: - Light only problems - If the light was built into your fan(ie:Stealth) and the fan was manufactured sometime after 2005. Your problem may be a 190watt limiter...
