Regency Beauty Institute

Went to Regency for the first time today and had low expecations going in but I just needed a quick refresher on my dark hair so I figured they couldn't really mess up putting some color on my roots and running it through the ends.. it was only 1 color.. well I was way WRONG.. they went through 5 bowls of color and it took them 2 hours to apply the color (my hair is barely below my shoulders and very thin) not to mention they had two girls applying the color... \t\n\t\nWhile processing (even though it had already been processing the two hours it had took them to apply the color) I decided to get a pedicure which I was pleased with (you get what you pay for there) but during that time my hair had begun to dry (which even I know should not happen when color is involved) I told my sytlist and she just chuckled about it (at that point I knew my hair was going to be incredibly dried out)\t\n\t\nMy appointment began at 1:30 and it was finally time to rinse my hair at 4:00pm (im not joking).. they did the worst job rinsing my hair I have ever experienced and there was color all down my back and on my forehead (which again they chuckled about). Two girls then tried to blow dry my dried out tangly hair (which is usually extremely easy to brush through) at that point I told them I would just go home with the wet hair. \t\n\t\nThe color in itself turned out fine (kinda hard to mess that up) but my hair was ultimately completely dried and my day completely wasted.\t\n\t\nTo top it all off the girls were openly complaning in front of customers about not getting tips. Maybe if they allowed people to tip when they pay with a card and have a sign that states that they can't tip on a card then they would be getting more tips.. or if the teachers kept a better eye on these girls.\t\n\t\nAgain, I understand that these are students but they need to learn and when the teachers are telling them they are doing a good job.. it's not gonna happen. ...read more

This wonderful little shop is located over by Lifetime Fitness in Plymouth, and although it's hard to immediately identify, it's well worth stopping in! \t\n\t\nYou can paint pots, mugs, ornaments, vases, and so much more. It's art and usefulness all under one roof. \t\n\t\nThe prices may shock you the first time you go in, but think about everything you're getting: The ceramic item, instructions on how to paint it, unlimited paint in HUGE variety, and even mosaic tiles that you can use on flatter pieces. They then take the piece you paint, put a clear glaze on it so it ends up shiny.....and they put it in the kiln.\t\n\t\nI adore the mug I made there. At the bottom it has the Chinese symbol for "Beautiful" so every morning when I drink my tea from it, I'm reminded of how beautiful life is. I was able to paint that symbol and more on my mug thanks to the helpful sheet they provided, and also wonderful stencils and stamps they had readily available.\t\n\t\nI plan to go back really soon! ...read more
