Isanti is a city in Isanti County, Minnesota. Its current population is estimated to be 5,955. The name "Isanti" has its origin in native Sioux culture, having been the name of a demographic of Dakota Indians. Each year in March the city of Isanti hosts its annual Home Show, bringing thousands of vendors together under one roof. Isanti also participates in Minnesota's Junior Hockey League, with its home team being the Minnesota Owls. The biggest schools in the area are Isanti Middle School, and Isanti Primary School.
