Make sure your administrator’s password is secure. We recommend at least a twelve character password with at least one lower case letter, at least one capital letter, and at least one number. Rogue PC Companies? Really Just Scams! We have heard many stories before about computer companies manhandling people into handing over money. But have not seen the effects before. Today we encountered a person with first hand experience with this phenomenon.Their story:They received a call from a person claiming to be a Microsoft certified technician saying that they had problems with there operating system that they could show them. This service was supposed to be free.(Note: No One should know what problems you are having with your computer unless you already have someone managing your networks or computer system. )Then after showing them the supposed problems. They informed them, that they had to pay. When they refused to pay the person on the phone got angry and start threatening them. Then later they received a voice mail saying that if they did not pay there computer would be disconnected from the internet.The next morning there computer would not connect to the internet. Services were disabled and malware was in there computer. The company that reportedly did this was called 24 Seven PC Care.
