Kreiser Excavating

5.0

By SarahMichaels

In my experience with Kreiser Excavating, there were no issues. My septic tank was installed in a timely manner, and passed inspections on the first shot. I have noticed that there is a negative review online, posted on every site possible, yet most people only post reviews when they are unsatisfied. He must be doing something right when he only has one or two customers unhappy. As for the person who decided it was thier business to post negative things about his personal life, and do so online, behind a fake name, (I assume because they have had issues in a personal relationship with him) that is extremely undignified, uncivilized, and speaks volumes about your own character. That being said, I heard of this company through word of mouth, all good things, and I was not disappointed. ...read more

Now I see that this guy claims to have 2 employees and makes $120,000, wonder what the IRS and State would say about that?! Does he now have an employee because his buddy, the ex-con, needs work release because he's now in jail?! This mess only gets deeper so beware! ...read more

OMG ropingirl211 clearly doesn't have a clue! The state took custody of those boys when they were almost 3 years old due to medical neglect, not a custody issue, it was medical neglect by Nick Kreiser. That little boy could have lost his life because his dad refused to seek medical treatment for him!!! There was medical neglect of the twin as well!!! And you want people to feel sorry for Nick?! Seriously.....you need to get your story straight and stop trying to shame the real victims of Nick Kreiser's so called Excavating Company! Their only wrong doing was not checking his credentials, such as does he really have a license or insurance, and creditable references. And what about the 306 consecutive days inpatient of one twin and the 12 months inpatient of the other twin, where was their dad.....other than the Hofbrau which isn't anywhere near Devos Children's Hospital?! ...read more

How To Clean Up Mold

Let’s start with what NOT to do when you find mold in your home. Please follow these precautions before you put you or your loved ones at risk: Do NOT tear out mold contaminated building materials without proper containment and protective gear. Do NOT paint over mold. The standard of care in our industry states: “Attempts to kill, encapsulate or inhibit mold instead of proper source removal generally are not adequate” (IICRC S520, section 4.4) Do NOT spray bleach on mold. Household bleach is not an EPA registered fungicide. Even if you kill the mold, it can still maintain it’s hazardous properties until you physically remove the mold and spores from the affected areas. Bleach also does not penetrate porous surfaces. Household bleach may remove the cosmetic mold staining, but it leaves behind the mold structure which can still be hazardous. In addition, after bleach dries, it leaves behind a carbon residue that acts as a food source for new mold to grow on. What you SHOULD do when you find mold in your home: Get an air quality test performed by a 3rd party company that is separate from the remediation company. Repair the source of the moisture as soon as appropriate. As long as the source of the moisture is unresolved, mold will continue to grow and spread. Call a professional mold remediation company to do a free preliminary inspection. The only time we recommend DIY mold clean up is when the area of mold is only a few square feet and it’s growing on a hard surface. In these cases, all that’s needed is to wipe it clean with a disposable rag and a mild detergent/cleaning agent and followed up with an application of appropriate antimicrobial agent. ...read more
