Though the Rhino Pub in South Lyon has a rough exterior the warm friendly atmosphere inside is worth it. (keep in mind if you act like an idiot you will be treated like one in return for example if your not tipping or being rude the staff most likely will not be at your beckon call.....It all stems back to the old saying "treat people how you want to be treated" ) The reviews I have read are all over a year old and does not reflect the changes and new personalities working inside. Rhino has made some changes including a new Corn Hole game and is still the only place in town with a pool table. I have been a patron for quit a few years and have seen the ups and downs. One review complains about cigarette burns in the carpet....Really you have to blame that on the smokers not the bar. If you can look past the floor you will notice the comfy "Sofa King Suites" that provide a luxury seat with a coffee table for placing your drink or dancing.\t\n\t\nRhino has great specials and has had some great live music over the years including Blackberry Brandy and Tiny Lighting I would suggest calling for upcoming events. Rhino also host local groups performing such as live hip hop shows. I would say the average age ranges on different nights due to different specials and music. They now play Country on Friday Nights and it brings in the most diverse crowd. So we called ahead and told the person on the phone that my party of 18 would arrive at 9;30. Can you leave a place open for us? Sure. As soon as we get there, the bald, jackass bouncer, Mike? says that all the guys in my group have to go. Something about hats. No, it was a chance to get me and my girls by ourselves. No way. We left. Me and my friend Tammi went back a week later and asked to speak to the owner. We told him how we were treated. The owner said it was how they did things. I said what to lose money? He laughed wierd and tried to by us drinks. the nerve of this clown. That bar is a joke all the way from the door man to the owner.
