About Iron River, MI

Iron River is a part of the Iron County area of southwestern Michigan in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Major attractions include Covenant Bible Camp and Iron River Country Club. Each year in the winter season there is skiing and snowboarding. Among the biggest companies in Iron River are Oberlin's Kitchen & Bath and Fitzpatrick Construction. The biggest schools here are West Iron County Middle School and Ace High School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Iron River is Ski Brule.

The Glass is more than 1/2 full

It is my belief that most folks are absolutely sick of being constantly bombarded with negative news by what I call the "Economic Terrorists" aka the news media. Not every bank is going out of business nor is every banker a crook! Not every housing market is in the dumps. There are car dealers that are selling and making money. So any way I started writing a E-newsletter designed to point out the positive news in the world in addition to providing relevant building info, posting events, offers, etc. It has been really fun and of course challenging since I have never done this before. It really comes down to how you look at  things. Sometimes getting laid off from a job that you hate (c'mon most folks have said one time or another that they hated their job or that they wished they did not work there!) may be the best thing that ever happened. Now they can start that new business or get the degree they wished they had. Mark my words- in a few years some people are going to look back at these tough times as starting point of true success. I have chosen to embrace this adversity as the greatest opportunity to change for the better.
