I too was going to help that veteran get his purple heart back. I have found another organization that helps children of military personnel which I contribute to. It is called Defending the Blue Line. They work with the children of military members all over the world. Check out their web site; they are based out of Minnesota. I am the widow of a former military man and know the benefit this organization provides. Never had a purple heart or any other medal but I know the impact this had to have had on this veteran to even let it leave his hands.
