Jan Norton Fairchild Keller Williams

5.0

By ANV123

The closing of our home was running slow due to last minute demands from the processor. Jan Norton was the seller's realtor and threatened to give the home to another buyer after three weeks of paper work with the bank because the closing didn't happen on the exact day we all planned (to no ones fault). She rushed everyone through the deal from day one, making it a very stressfull experience. We finally closed on the home and tried putting it all behind us but her furniture was still staged in our new home. We gave her a full weekend to move the furniture which she agreed to. We also had a renter waiting to get into our old house so everyone is on pause until she can get her housefull of furniture out. She gave excuse after excuse why she couldn't move her furniture and after the 6th day we told her she needs to hire movers so we can finally get moving in. She refused stating she is waiting on "her movers" to get back into town. She threatened to take legal action against us and then lied to our realtor when he tried talking some sense into her. It all came to a head almost a week later when she refused to give us the spare key to OUR new home. She ended up hiring two of her neighbor kids and paid them $8 per hour (they told us what they were getting paid) on one of the hottest 98 degree days in MI. READY FOR THIS?? We found out from a corporate friend of ours at Keller Williams that Jan Norton Fairchild sent out a company wide email asking if anyone needs any staging furniture. She will be happy to charge them $1,000 if they want to pick it up from our home. She used our home as a storage unit and put everyones life on hold until she could find someone to pick it the furniture and pay the $1,000. This woman is very unprofessional and made what should have been a great experience for our new family, a true nightmare. ...read more
