The city of Gladstone, named for the British prime minister, William Ewart Gladstone, is located on the shores of Little Bay de Noc in Delta County, Michigan, in the Escanaba metro area. Major attractions include Mary Cretens Art Gallery and Van Cleve Park, which has a playground, tot lot, sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, horseshoe courts, a lighted softball field, a 20-station fitness course, two pavilions and an an island gazebo. One of the best places to visit when you are in Gladstone is the Gladstone Ski Hill, featuring skiing, three tube runs, a lift and a snowboard terrain park with a 1/2 pipe.
