1) The store is very clean. 2) If you shop the sales ad you wouldn't be complaining about high prices because there are NUMEROUS weekly deals that are VERY competitive. 3) What makes you feel like a shoplifter and how is that the store's problem? The surveillance system is in place to prosecute thieves, if you are not a thieve then why are you worried about it? Further, you are allowed to carry your "tote" bag in the store... It just has to be empty and laid flat in your cart.. Why is that such a big deal? 4) Last, there is no store in the world where 100% of the employees are to your liking... I've witnessed customers unable to pay for there groceries because of lack of funds and you know what.... I live in the senior apts. across the street. I don't like the way Shopper's Mkt. makes the seniors feel like shop-lifting criminals whenever we enter the store! We can't bring our carts in beyond the registers nor can we even carry in our tote bags, which is totally ridiculous, because we are going to use those totes for our purchases, so it will be obvious we didn't shoplift anything! Yes Shopper's Market was robbed one time only. They hired a special security firm and offered a reward. As a result, the robber was apprehended within 48 hours. Shoppers does not have to apologize for having the most secure store to shop at within a ten mile radius. All of us love it because we feel secure and happy when shopping there. We feel like we are at home. Mr. Leo, if you do not like stores that are secure, I am sure you can find a lot of unsecured stores where you live that will be to your liking. I have lived in Centerline for over 15 years and have been a shoppers market customer for just as long. I find the quality of the products to be the same as all grocery stores around town including krogers. One store is not better than any other. They each have pros and cons. I did happen to notice the new surveilance system and all I have to say is.. more power to them.. all stores have a surveilance system, YES even Krogers lol. they just have a security room thats not visible to the customers. But my point is that wherever you shop you will be on camera.. shoppers market is no different and should not be put down for controlling theft, I have been shopping there for many years and I strongly support them and all other family owned grocers in the area. ...read more

My mother and I have been shopping at the Center Line store for many years, actually since it became Shoppers Market. I have to admit that there are some things that are cheaper at this store, but for the most part they are more expensive. We buy Post Honey Bunches of Oats (family size) for almost $5 at Shoppers and you can buy it at Kroger for less than $4. I have also noticed that they always change what they carry, their quality is poor and continues to drop on a daily basis. Their bottle machines and the area they are in is completely disgusting, stinks and is unsafe and unsanitary. The new owners have proven they do not care so much for the customers. I don't live in Center Line but I do my shopping at the Center Line location after leaving my job at the Toyota Dealer. Generally speaking this is a great place to shop. The employees are friendly, the store is clean, and the sales ad is very competitive. I laugh at my co-workers who are brainwashed by walmart and Meijers. I even take advantage of sale items at Shoppers by matching coupons with sale items and sometimes I get items for free :) ...read more

I live next door to Shoppers market in Centerline and YES I have shopped the 9 mile location and theres ads are different every week... there is no store in the world that will beat every store's prices.. Just a few weeks ago, Shoppers at Centerline had Large seedless watermelon for $1.99!! The Centerline location is very clean and fresh. The sales are very competitive and a lot of time they have items on sale cheaper than value fresh or meijers.
